About the place
Man’s voice:
It is hard to believe that music can be carved in stone. Yet sculptor Julius Narušis had such a nature that from early childhood, holding a small stone in his hand, he would say he was going to “bite into” the stone. And in order to “bite into” stone, to make music begin to flow from it, the sculptor not only planned everything meticulously but also made his own tools for the work.
Julius Narušis once said about inspiration:
“My inspiration comes from personal ambition. I like doing work that lies beyond my abilities – I always have a strong desire for that. Although I work spontaneously, I always reach perfection, of course, perfection as I understand it.”
