Educational session \u201cAmber: the gold of the Baltic\u201d with magnet making (can be held in Russian if needed)<\/p>
In this session, amber becomes not just a \u201cpretty stone\u201d but a real story and discovery.<\/p>
Pupils will:<\/p>
learn how amber is formed and what makes it unique;
hear how old amber is and why it is called the gold of the Baltic;
see and touch different samples of amber and learn to tell the differences (colour, structure, properties);
get to know amber processing tools: where they came from, how they were used and what they tell us about their time.
They will make a fridge magnet decorated with real amber.

Educational session \u201cThe history of Lithuanian money: from the first barter to the litas\u201d<\/p>
This follows the \u201cmuseum comes to school\u201d principle with real, authentic exhibits.<\/p>
Pupils will:<\/p>
travel through the history of Lithuanian money from the first barter and earliest forms to the litas;
see original, authentic exhibits, just like in a museum;
understand how people’s daily lives, trade and the development of the state changed through the prism of money.
Each pupil will mint a coin.<\/p>
