A jazz saxophonist, improviser, composer, and guardian of Lithuanian musical traditions, he has spent decades developing a unique musical language where improvisation, classical music, jazz, and folklore meet. One evening his saxophone may blend with the melody of a folk song; another, it may resonate alongside world-renowned jazz masters or a symphony orchestra. His sound combines vitality, lyricism, and the ability to transform every musical phrase into a unique story.<\/p>\n<p>In the programme &#8220;Sielos daina&#8221; (&#8220;Song of the Soul&#8221;), P. Vy\u0161niauskas\u2019 creative freedom will unfold alongside composers whose music is also marked by a distinctive artistic voice. The pulse of \u00c1stor Piazzolla\u2019s tango, the Nordic jazz colours of Jan Magne F\u00f8rde, and the spirit of South African music embedded in Abdullah Ibrahim\u2019s melodies will merge into a unified musical narrative, where each composition becomes a unique song of the soul \u2013 a story told without words.<\/p>\n<p>The musical dialogue between Klaip\u0117da Brass Quintet and P. Vy\u0161niauskas will bring new timbral colours to this programme.
