About the place

Evening. Nothing is needed.
Only to sit and watch,
How the sun is leaving us,
And glow as evening does.

And to see how in the river
A willow and meadow are reflected,
And how the earth is softly stroked
By the hand of a warm evening.

And to hear above your head
Unknown birds in flight,
And to see trees muttering something
As they wade into the night.

To sit like this and simply watch,
Without a single thought,
And want no longer anything,
Nothing at all, not even death.

Passer-by:

– What a beautiful poem by Henrikas Radauskas! The Queen and King look upon the shining city, the land of happiness and the abundance of their descendants. I believe that in the future people will live in the “Tale of Kings” foretold by Čiurlionis.
