About the activity

We are the “Gintarinė krantinė” education and tour centre. We create and lead themed tours and educational activities for both children and adults. Our work is based on lively storytelling, engaging experiences and discovering the history of Klaipėda.

Educational activities and workshops:

“From Blacksmith to Baker: Craftspeople of Klaipėda”
Participants discover the history of Klaipėda craftspeople, learn to recognise guild symbols and step into the role of an artisan, progressing from apprentice to master.

“Glass Mosaic”
Participants learn about the history of glass in Klaipėda and, in the practical part, create a coaster using mosaic techniques.

“Pirate Chest”
The activity tells stories about Klaipėda’s pirates. Participants set off on an adventure game, “Find the Pirate Chest”, and learn to make a treasure map.

Participants discover the history of knights, their code of honour and tournament traditions, and create their own knightly flag.

“City Symbols Through Your Eyes”
The activity discusses city symbols – the flag and coat of arms – and the places that shape the city’s identity. In the practical part, participants create their own souvenir: a badge with city symbols.
