After dark, Klaipėda Sculpture Park takes on a different mood: among the trees, shadows and silence, forms that often go unnoticed during the day begin to speak. This night tour invites you to experience the park as a living story of the city, where art meets history and familiar spaces take on an unexpected air of mystery.

Night tour of industrial spaces.
AB “Klaipėdos energija” invites you on tours of the thermal power plant complex, the only site of its kind in Klaipėda! The tours offer a rare opportunity to get a closer look at the area in the “heart” of the port city, on the bank of the Danė River, where Klaipėda’s light and heat were born. Visitors will hear engaging stories about industrial history and see the interwar turbine generators that are still in operation and the impressive 120-metre-high steel chimney, which is already more than half a century old. Tour participants will be able to enter spaces that are usually closed to visitors. The industrial setting, the grandeur of the machinery and the history of the city’s energy will combine into a memorable experience.

Tour “Klaipėda by night: a date with the city’s spirits”
When darkness envelops the city and the streets and squares light up with cosy lanterns, Klaipėda begins to tell its evening stories. Like stories around a campfire, you may have heard them somewhere before, but they are always newly chilling or a little romantic. Evening is the time when the city’s spirits seem to flutter in the air and whisper their version of history. In Klaipėda by night, the spirits of buildings will speak and the clattering cobblestones will echo the footsteps of people from the past. Symbolically, guided by stories, we will meet bright personalities of Klaipėda and the Klaipėda Region and find out where the cruellest prison in Prussia was, where nobles were buried and where criminals were beheaded. Where romantic feelings blossomed and where the greatest dreams came true.
