From the castle to the skyscraper, from the fisherman to cultural figures, from 1252 to 2020, from work to bread and entertainment, from… This is the story told by one of the oldest streets in Klaipėda, originally called “the road to the castle”: Žvejų Street. During the tour, you will learn about the history of the city of Klaipėda and the places that will help reveal where the heart of the city beats, what the healthiest food for everyone is, where one of the most impressive sculptures in the world is hidden, what caused the greatest commotion in the Old Town, where the “two brothers” are, where the emigrants’ journey began at the start of the 20th century, and what connects Klaipėda with London, Berlin or Chicago…
