About the place
The entrance to the Port of Klaipėda is formed by the southern and northern breakwaters, which protect the harbour from waves, drifting ice and sediment. More than simply functional port structures, they are also a favourite place for residents and visitors.
The northern breakwater is especially popular for seaside walks, watching sunsets and observing ships arriving at and departing from the port. Water-sports training and day camps for surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing and sea kayaking also take place here, making it an appealing spot both for peaceful strolls and active leisure.
It is a place where you can feel the power of the sea and experience the true atmosphere of a port city.
